THE STORY OF SANTA

One Christmas Eve – Santa had been rushing as usual, and had got all the presents muddled up and tripped over a white mouse who was checking the Christmas lights on his roof. Santa flew through the air (without his sleigh, so this was not going to end well). He landed headfirst in the chimney of the house next door, where a calm and careful red fox called Ian was just lighting the fire so he could toast some marshmallows. Quick as a whip, Ian leapt onto the roof, and even though he had no opposable thumbs he managed to wedge some slippery snow around Santa’s tummy, tickled his toe with some tinsel and heaved him out! Santa gave him some toasty warm socks as a thank you, and then the pair headed out to deliver the rest of the presents. Together they were the perfect team – Ian taught Santa how to slow down a bit, and Santa showed Ian how to jiggle his belly like a bowl full of jelly! Everyone got the right presents on Christmas Morning too! Wonderful.
